This photograph presents streets of Chinatown district and Downtown Manhattan skyline with the tallest skyscraper in the Western Hemisphere - One World Trade Center. I usually stop by and shoot from this spot "on occasion", when I'm on the way to my favorite spot on Manhattan Bridge. This place gives a nice perspective to the "real" Manhattan skyline, but with the shorter and more casual, old buildings in the foreground. This photograph was created very spontaneously. I was perfectly synchronized with the sun gently setting behind the tops of the taller buildings, hiding gently behind clouds. It was easy to predict that the actual sunset would turn out to be incredible, but I shot it from a different spot.
