Living in Middle Village in Queens, NY, I had to get up at night to get to DUMBO for dawn. On Memorial Day morning, 2017, I finally headed to Brooklyn Bridge to witness dawn from this magnificent landmark. The main purpose was naturally capturing the bridge in the frame at sunrise, however, pursuing my next photography goals is always inherently associated with sole experiences, which to me are as valuable as the photographs themselves. Here, the experience has been so strong, that despite I'm writing the description of this work 7 years after I created it, I remember almost every detail of that morning, as if I had been there yesterday. Feelings connected with my photographs remain deep inside of me and seem to never fade away. Whenever I look at this picture, I travel back in time and find myself on the bridge again. Passing by the police car, which usually patrols the area at night, setting up the tripod and camera, adjusting the angles to perfection, so that I receive the exact image I want. And then just shoot remotely while the first sun rays begin subtly touching the bricks of the gate...
