That afternoon I grabbed my camera and went for a long walk around SoHo to photograph some of its architectural beauties, heading ultimately to Brooklyn Bridge for sunset. As usually, I focused on the facades, looking mostly up and attempting to capture the neighborhood's hallmark: large windows and ladders, in a creative manner. I then stopped at the crossroads of Mercer St and Broome St, because the view of the long line of stylish houses, very typical for SoHo, really caught me from this perspective. The weather and the light were just perfect, and the traffic in the street added life to the photograph.
