Historia

Creation of most of my works is preceded by a significant amount of planning or building a concrete vision, even for years. Sometimes, however, while already on a job, I notice something that grips my attention and requires an instant action. The "Palette" is one of those photographs. I captured this moment very spontaneously, almost incidentally. I found myself again on Manhattan Bridge with a purpose of shooting Downtown Manhattan skyline during sunset and twilight. Shortly after sunset, I spotted that only in a particular area the sky was literally painted with a whole palette of colors. Due to technical limitations on Manhattan Bridge (which I described in "Brooklyn Bridge Twilight") I had to take the camera off the tripod and shoot from hand. The sky looked literally like a work of an expressionist. I didn't even intensify vibrance of colors  significantly during the process of editing in order to achieve this result. The photograph is therefore very natural. It seems that the most talented painter is the nature itself.
